"Were not our hearts burning within us while He spoke to us on the way?"- Luke 24:32
IGNITE seeks to accompany young people in grades 6-8 on their journey of faith, pointing out the loving works and very near presence of the Lord in their day to day life.
IGNITE gathers on Friday evenings (EXCEPT ON FIRST FRIDAYS) from 7:30pm-9pm in the parish hall.
students in grades 6-8 are encouraged to attend. The evenings include food, music, games, prayer, and learning. This year we will also be going to BASH a diocesan rally for youth in Middle School as well as having day retreats, service opportunites, picnics, sports, and more!
"I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing!
"- Luke 12:49
ABLAZE seeks to empower high school students to put their faith into action through evangelization and works of mercy.
ABLAZE gathers on Sundays (EXCEPT ON 3RD SUNDAYS). All teens in
grades 9-12 are invited to join us for the 5pm Mass.
Following Mass, we will gather in the parish hall for dinner, games,
prayer, and opportunities to grow in knowledge of our Catholic faith. This year, we will be going on retreats and pilgrimage as well as discovering how the Lord is inviting us to use our gifts and talents to serve others and spread the Gospel.
YOUTH APOSTOLATE NEWS:
Check out the video we created after the Mount 2000 Retreat:
Thank you to everyone who supported us and prayed for us over the retreat weekend.
We had wonderful experiences!
LIVING STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Looking for something powerful to do this Lent? Rehearsals begin Sunday, March 5th. All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to participate. Find out more by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
IGNITE- All youth in grades 6-8 are invited to join us on Friday nights (excluding the first Fridays of the month) from 7:30pm-9:00pm, for evenings of fun, faith, prayer, and friendship. This year, our IGNITE students will be studying the lives of the saints. Each week we will hear familiar and lesser known stories of these amazing individuals and their lives of heroic virtue. Our Ignite evenings include fun activities; growing in friendship with other Catholic youth; prayer; discipleship; faith formation and more!
ABLAZE- All youth in grades 9-12 are invited to join us on Sunday evenings (excluding the third Sundays of the month) from 6pm-8:30pm in the JPII modular. This Fall we are excited to be learning Thomistic philosophy, simplified for high-school students! The intent is to form our young people in the truth and to prepare them for the false philosophies that they might encounter in college. Each class includes practical applications that are familiar to our youth. More information about the content for each week is available by emailing us at email@example.com Sunday nights also include cooking dinner together, prayer, and fun activities and games.
TEAM- Our Youth Apostolate Team consists of parents and single adults who have answered the call to serve the middle and high school youth of parish. These individuals receive regular formation on discipleship, ministry planning, praying with teens, leading small groups, youth safety, and more! The team gathers on the first Fridays of the month for Mass, dinner, and formation. During these gatherings we pray for our parish young people and continue to grow to understand how the Lord is inviting us to lead youth into a deeper relationship with Him. If you have thought that God might be calling you to serve youth in our parish, please contact our Coordinator of Youth Ministry for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org
