Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations… Teaching them to carry out everything I have commanded you. - Matthew 27:19-20

Mission Statement

The administration, faculty, and staff of St. Veronica Catholic School recognize the dignity of each person by seeing Christ in every child. The mission of the school is to ensure vibrant religious education and exemplary academics by empowering our students and faculty through faith and knowledge.

Philosophy of Learning

In the spirit of Christ, who is the perfect teacher, the administration, faculty, and staff of St. Veronica School recognize that each child is an intellectual, spiritual, and social being with an inherent desire to learn. We recognize that the growth of the whole child best occurs in an atmosphere permeated by respect, love, and the modeling of virtues.

We strive to provide each child with a physically and emotionally safe place to learn through reflection and participation. We strive to offer a structured and stimulating academic environment, incorporating varied instruction coupled with compassionate discipline. As facilitators, we work to develop a child's potential by fostering critical thinking, innovation, and the right use of personal freedom. Finally, the administration, faculty, and staff of St. Veronica School understand that learning is truly formative when parents are acknowledged as the primary educators and work in collaboration with the principal, teachers, and students.

Accreditation

St. Veronica Catholic School has received full accreditation from the Virginia Catholic Education Association, and continues to pursue academic excellence in a faith-filled atmosphere.

Small Class Size

Students receive more individual attention because of our small class sizes (between 13 to 27 students in each class) – we believe that this is vital to a quality education.

Masses and Confessions

Students attend Mass as a school community weekly on Fridays.  First Friday devotions and Lenten Stations of the Cross are also observed. Our Parish priests visit the classrooms frequently and hear confessions weekly from various grades.

Volunteers

St. Veronica Catholic School is an extension of the mission of St. Veronica Parish. Families are strongly encouraged to volunteer their time, talent, and treasure to the mission of the parish and the school.  The parents or legal guardians of each family registered at St. Veronica School are required to earn a minimum of 60 points for combined volunteer services (12 hours of service) during the current academic year.  For more information on Volunteer Commitment Opportunities, please visit our PTO page.
