SUMMARY:Were the Early Christians Socialists?
DESCRIPTION:We read in the Bible that the early Christians sold all they had and laid the money at the “feet of the Apostles” and “held all things in common.” Many people see this as evidence that they were forerunners of modern day socialists. Is this true\, and if so should we emulate them? Certainly those who ate and lived with Our Lord learned some things that are not written down in scripture. Is this a hint of wisdom that has been overlooked? What do other early Christians writings have to say on the matter? \nJoin the Patricians on Monday\, September 11th as we discuss this and how to explain it to others.
