DESCRIPTION:There will also be a Mass at 9:00 pm in Vietnamese. \nAsh Wednesday is a day of Fast and Abstinence:  Everyone 14 years and older is bound to observe the law of abstinence from meat.  (This applies during the Fridays of Lent as well.)  Everyone from 18 years up to the beginning of the 60th year is also bound to observe the law of fast.  On this day\, only one full meatless meal is allowed.  Two other meatless meals\, sufficient to maintain strength\, may be taken according to each one’s needs\, but together they should not equal another full meal. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Lenten 40 Days for Life
DESCRIPTION:Through April 14th\, the Lenten 40 Days for Life Campaign – 40 days of peaceful prayer and fasting for an end to abortion – will occur outside abortion mills throughout the world.  Because the nearest high volume abortion mill is located in Falls Church\, 40 Days for Life is again asking St. Veronica’s parishioners to commit to offering intercessory prayers for one hour each weekday before the Blessed Sacrament to pray for families harmed by abortion.  Our hope is that for one hour each Monday – Friday during 40 Days\, someone will be praying in an Adoration Chapel to end abortion.  In addition\, we are asking parishioners to join Steven Grist each Saturday morning during 40 Days from 9:00 am to noon in a peaceful prayer vigil outside the mill on 900 S.
