We’re making pinwheel pattern baby quilts for donation to Mosaic Pregnancy Center in Fairfax
Materials List:
Fabric (100% cotton, washed and pressed)
Colored or Print fabric – 1/2 yard
White (or light/neutral) fabric – 1 yard
Border fabric – 2/3 yard (if non-directional fabric, 1-1/3 yard if
directional)
*Finished size approx. 36 x 36 inches(5 blocks x 5 blocks with 4-inch border)
Thread (usually a neutral gray or cream for piecing the strips)
Scissors, Rotary cutter, Cutting mat
Sewing machine, Extra sewing machine needles, Extra bobbins,
Iron, Ironing board, Surge protector, Plastic grocery bag for trash
*If you are completing the quilt, that is, putting the quilt top together with the batting, backing, and binding, you will need the following additional materials:
Batting 1½ yards, Backing fabric – 1½ yards, Binding fabric – ½ yard Thread for machine quilting and/or floss for ties
