Holy Land Carvings

July 13, 2021 10:10 am

On the weekend of July 17th and 18th, there will be a display of beautiful olivewood handmade carvings from the Holy Land.  During this difficult time, Bethlehem is shut down—no tourism and no income since March 2020.  Carving olivewood now is the only source of income of the Catholic families who still live in the Holy Land.  Christians in the Holy Land used to be more than 37% of the population.  There are less than 1% now because of the situation.  As Christians of faith, it is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in Bethlehem.  You can support them by purchasing some of these beautiful carvings after Mass.  For more information, contact 202-302-5889 or visit www.BethlehemCarvings.org.
