Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.

Happy Snow Weekend!

Enjoy the wonderful wintry weather, and please be safe.

The Adoration Chapel will close tomorrow, February 5th at 12:00 Noon.

The Saturday and Sunday Mass and Confession schedule will continue.

We will have First Friday Mass at 8:30 am, with confessions at 9:00 am.  The evening Mass and confessions are cancelled.  .

The new parishioner welcome which was going to be held on Saturday February 6th has been postponed until February 27th at 6:00 pm.

The Walter Reed gift collection has been postponed until next weekend.  Please drop your donations off on Saturday and Sunday, February 13 and 14, in the parish hall.

If there are any further cancelations, they will be posted here.

All baptized Catholics are obliged to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. However, there are particular circumstances or conditions that may excuse a Catholic from this obligation. If you are ill, homebound, or if there are severe weather conditions that make attending Mass dangerous to your safety or that of others, you are excused from the obligation. In such cases, if you are unable to attend Mass, the Church recommends making a spiritual Communion and spending some time in prayer.

Please consider signing up for Faith Direct at www.faithdirect.net

Can you believe it cost us over $5,000 for snow removal the last big storm in December.

Thank you for your continued support of our parish!

Eucharistic Adoration Chapel
MonstranceSt. Veronica Catholic Church has opened our Eucharistic Adoration Chapel.

The Eucharistic Adoration Chapel opens after the 8:30 am Mass every Monday and remains open with the Blessed Sacrament exposed until 8:30 am every Saturday.  We are grateful to the over 200 adorers we currently have, but we are in need of more adorers.  Please consider making a committment to Eucharistic Adoration.  We are especially in need of adorers during the hours of 11 am and 5 pm each day.

If you would like to commit to an hour of weekly Eucharistic Adoration, please call the parish office, 703-773-2000.

Faith Direct!

St. Veronica Catholic Church is now  participating in the Faith Direct program.  Faith Direct is a planned electronic giving program principled in the stewardship model that with sacrificial giving, we place God first and ourselves second.  Faith Direct is a vehicle in which we can carefully consider our sacrificial giving and decide how we can consistently give back to God from the treasures He gives to each of us.

Stewardship is NOT fundraising.  The beauty of stewardship is that when a parish fully embraces the spirituality of giving back to God a portion of the gifts He gives to each of us.  Of course we still need to give but we need to plan to give from our first fruits, not from what is left over in our wallets at the end of the week.

Please prayerfully consider your participation in the Faith Direct program.
