Talk on Fr. Capodanno, Servant of God

April 13 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us in the parish hall at 6:15 pm on Saturday, April 13, to hear
about the life and Cause for Sainthood of Father Vincent R. Capodanno, MM.
Fr. Capodanno was killed in action in 1967 while serving as a Navy
chaplain with a Marine Corps infantry unit during the Vietnam War. He
posthumously received the Medal of Honor for heroic actions above and
beyond the call of duty. Fr. Capodanno is believed to be one of the
saintliest men of modern times and in May 2006, the Catholic Church
officially proclaimed Fr. Capodanno a Servant of God, the first of four
steps in the canonization process.
Mary Preece, Vice Postulator of the Cause for Canonization for Fr.
Capodanno and Vice Admiral Stephen Stanley, USN (ret), Chairman of
the Board of the Vincent Capodanno Guild will be our guest speakers.
