Extended: Sunday, December 22nd Final Day to Return Gifts for Christmas Giving Trees Program

December 17, 2019 2:13 pm

Christmas Trees covered with Purple Tags and envelopes are located in the north and south vestibules.  A Purple Tag or a gift card envelope means that your gift will go to a family in Madison or Culpeper County who struggles each day just to meet their basic needs.  A Coppermine envelope means your gift card will go to a resident at Coppermine Place Apartments that house over 65 low income people with disabilities who may have no family or friends to remember them during this most Holy Season.

After you have selected a Purple Tag or envelope, make your purchase.  Please note that Purple Tag gifts should be returned UNWRAPPED, with the tag securely attached, to one of the brown bins located in the north and south vestibules by Sunday December 22nd.

If your tag/envelope was for a gift card, you may:

  • Drop it off at the parish office during the week;
  • Place it in the offertory basket at Mass; or
  • Place in the black poor box in the north vestibule.

There are also Gift for Life tags/envelopes on the trees, donations to which support of the Arlington Diocese Gabriel Project for pregnancy assistance and Project Rachel for post-abortion healing.

Your generosity to our annual Giving Tree program will help bring the spirit of Christmas to those who need it most.  May the Peace of the Christ Child fill your home!
